Dreesen's Famous Donuts

Dreesen's Famous Donuts has been in Rudy DeSanti's family since his grandfather Rudy first put a donut machine in the window of his Dreesen's Excelsior Market on Newtown Lane in East Hampton, NY in the late 1940's.  It instantly became a hit- warm cake donuts made daily in the window, so passersby were drawn in by the sight of the donuts being made and the sweet aroma coming from the market.

The first Rudy then created and tweaked, and then re-tweaked- his own recipe, creating the Dreesen's Famous Donuts brand of today. Over the years, hundreds of thousands of donuts were enjoyed by locals and Hamptons visitors alike, and the donuts became an iconic part of life in East Hampton.  Generations of school children, along with their parents and grandparents, enjoyed a warm donut "hot off the press" as we say- together on the bench out front of the market.

The next Rudy began a Licensing program for this well loved classic, as many visitors inquired about how to bring this favorite treat to their own community.  Rudy Jr. (the current Rudy to make the donuts) will recommend and sell the appropriate Donut Robot for your commercial needs, provide setup and training, and provide the Dreesen's Famous Donuts mix and our trademarked Cinnamon Sugar and Powdered Sugar toppings.

In East Hampton today, Rudy has a Dreesen's Donut Truck available for special events- with a fully functioning donut robot making donuts fresh on the truck at private and community events, often served with coffee or hot chocolate!

There is something special about these old fashioned cake donuts, a nostalgia for the past maybe.  We often hear, "this is the best donut I have ever had"!
